Values Ambassador Spotlight: Chelsea Schroeder
Nominated by: Bekah Blakely and Kaylyn Standfast
Values: Service and Integrity
Let’s take a moment to celebrate our latest Values Ambassador, Chelsea Schroeder!
Chelsea is a kind, inclusive, and innovative asset to Heartspring. She goes above and beyond every single day to provide excellent medical care to our students and is always willing to jump in wherever needed. Genuinely valuing the relationships she builds with staff and students, she meets them where they are in their journey.
Bekah Blakely, Behavioral Specialist, shared Chelsea will take on the hard route if it’s what’s best for students. “She’s an advocate and will fight for them. She’s very collaborative and funny. She works with all members of the team and never makes big decisions without consulting others.”
Chelsea is a joy to work with; her experience, medical expertise, and inclusive approach create an open learning environment for everyone around her. Noting that she frequently spends time outside of work meeting with team members to determine solutions for students, Kaylyn Standfast, registered nurse, also said, “I am honored to work with Chelsea and to learn from her each and every day. She has instilled confidence in me as a nurse and helped grow and shape my own skills and knowledge.” Her dedication and passion truly make a difference in the lives of her colleagues and students alike.
Reflecting Chelsea’s character (and how her coworkers describe her), she expressed her feelings about being nominated as an ambassador: “I value my relationships with coworkers and am honored with their nominations and kind words … The students bring joy to my day. Working with them, building relationships, and having an impact on their lives is fulfilling.” Chelsea also went on to share how dedicated and amazing the medical and Heartspring team is to her and the students.
Heartspring is truly fortunate to have such an amazing nurse practitioner. Thank you, Chelsea, for being a vital part of our vision, work, and students’ lives!
