Heartspring Safety Update from Moniqueka Holloway
Here's what we are doing to ensure Heartspring is operating as safely as possible.
Safety is important to Heartspring, and we are committed to the safety of our students, clients, and staff. To ensure we are operating as safely as possible, we have formed a Safety Committee. This cross-functional team has been established to improve the function of safety planning at Heartspring and meets once per month. Moniqueka Holloway, the Senior Director of Compliance, serves as the chair.
Mission: The Heartspring Safety Committee is dedicated to building a culture of safety through training, education, and policy development. Through risk analysis and mitigation actions, we plan to reduce adverse incidents and improve the overall environment for all stakeholders.
The Committee consists of 6 Sub-Committees:
- Hazard Identification
- Education and Training
- Accident/Incident Investigations
- Safe and Health Planning
- Risk and Cybersecurity
- Health and Communicable Disease
Each subcommittee has a chairperson and additional members from various areas and levels of the organization—representing administration, operating departments, and direct care staff. Each subcommittee will initially meet monthly and will later transition to quarterly meetings.
