Last week, Justin approached a staff during his walk.
He grabbed his Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device, scrolled his screen, and pressed a button that said, “Hello!”
The staff replied, “Hi Justin, how are you today?”
While maintaining eye contact and smiling from ear to ear, Justin quickly responded with his device: “I am happy!”
This simple unprompted conversation speaks volumes about the incredible work our speech therapists and staff do every day – thanks to AAC, Justin can express himself and share his joy with others today.
