Heartspring Leadership Update
By: Dr. Kenny Bui, Interim President & CEO | COO
Greetings, everyone,
Grateful!
It has been a great privilege this past year to lead an organization such as Heartspring as the Interim President and CEO. I've had a wonderful opportunity to meet many individuals from our community. As we work to move past the pandemic, our team has been working diligently with KDHE and other agencies to eliminate the mask mandate. It is great to see our employees' and students' faces and their bright smiles.
Heartspring achieved a great milestone in September of 2022 of being 88 years old. This is not by coincidence but possible due to our dedicated, compassionate, and caring employees as well as many great sponsors and supporters from the community. Our successes reflect the ever-increasing dedication and enthusiasm of employees, donors and volunteers displayed on a continual basis.
I would like to personally thank you for your recent support and contribution of time to CAREfest. This event would not have been a success without your involvement and support.
For 2022, the top focuses for Heartspring are employees' well-being and mental health and recruiting, hiring, and onboarding staff for support. The pandemic has in many ways changed the traditional workforce and combined with the challenges in childcare, staff availability has become a challenge.
The transition with Heartspring's leadership can be a challenge; however, our leadership team is fully committed to supporting our staff and providing stability until a new CEO is hired and onboarded. Throughout this time, it's important that we support each other and connect with our community. We're all in this together.
There is no doubt that you have made your presence an invaluable one with Heartspring. As you go on to commit yourself to supporting and advancing our mission, we won't ever stop appreciating you.
Kind Regards,
Kenny Bui, PhD
Interim President & CEO
